Okay, so this is some Star Trek meta, I apologize in advance for getting extra nerdy here.

One of the little things I’ve always loved is how they’ve shown ways that the Klingons and the Federation don’t understand each other. Some of them are subtle- take spelling. Obviously, the Klingons have a different writing system, but even when it comes to using the Latin alphabet, they have disagreements. Like how they spell their homework Qo'nos, while the Federation would use Kronos. Or how the House of Martok is more properly Martoch, like the ending of loch. Even the empire itself- they’d more properly spell it Qlingon, but the Federation doesn’t.

And it’s kind of a cool, little way to demonstrate how they aren’t on the same wavelength. When it comes down to it, the Federation just doesn’t get it that Klingon culture, at the heart of it? Is K-less.
